I finally have Eliana’s post up! I have been super busy and I am truly sorry to all of the mamas and followers that I have not been more on top of this. Enjoy ;D
Eliana and I were so excited to finally get our day with the onesie! We picked December 6th, as the day for our onesie adventure. Eli decided to sleep in, so the day started a little on the late side, but this Mama is definitely not complaining. We began our day with some breakfast. Eliana had strawberries, bananas and pancakes.
She enjoyed her breakfast so much that she decided her doggies, Loco and Peanut, would like to try some too.
Then it was time to get changed into the onesie and get this day rolling…
TAA DAAAA!! The onesie fit like a glove!!
No one can keep an 11 month old in one spot for too long. She sped off as fast as possible to play with her toys.
Singing is one of her favorite things to do, so she sang and played while Mommy and Daddy finished getting ready to head out.
Since Christmas is only a few weeks away, we decided that it would be a perfect day to visit Boiling Spring Tree Farm to chop down Eliana’s very first Christmas tree. When we arrived there were Christmas trees as far as the eyes could see. It was so beautiful and the air smelled piney and delicious! We walked around for a little while trying to find the perfect tree.
Finally, we found the perfect one!! Daddy cut down the tree while Eliana supervised.
She was impressed.
After Daddy cut the tree the workers came over with the tractor and hauled it over to our car. We stopped in the shop to pay the nice man for our beautiful new Christmas tree and then it was time to strap it on top of the car and head back home.
When we got home and put the tree up it was a perfect fit. How exciting!
Our day was not over yet. This weekend is Christmas Prelude here in Maine, so there is no better place to visit then Kennebunkport (Voted #2 Christmas Town in America by HGTV). The tree lighting was at 6:30, so we quickly ate some homemade turkey soup and left for Kennebunkport.
Our first stop was at Cafe Couture, to visit our friend Kristen and grab a cup of cocoa.
After some of the most delicious hot chocolate ever, we took a walk down the road to check out the tree.
It was HUGE!! Decorated with colorful buoys and topped with a big red lobster in place of a star. A tree any Mainah would be proud of…
We all had a lot of fun, but it was getting late and beginning to rain, so it’s time to get home.
Once home, we got ready to decorate the tree. Eliana watched Rudolf the Red-nose Reindeer while Mommy made a little food for everyone.
After filling our bellies it was almost time for bed, so we all changed into some jammies and it also seemed like the perfect time to put Eliana’s handprint on the onesie.
The box of decorations was very tempting and the little monster couldn’t keep her hands off of them. I’m sure she was just trying to help.
After today’s adventure it didn’t take long before Eliana was out like a light!
It was much easier to decorate the tree without an 11 month old trying to grab everything. Soon it was all decorated and I got to sit back, and relax by the light of our tree.
Eliana and I truly enjoyed being a part of such a special adventure. We can’t wait to see what the onesie will be up to next. Time to pack it up and send it off to Dawn and Delilah in Ontario!!
