A Day in the Life of Eliana.

I finally have Eliana’s post up! I have been super busy and I am truly sorry to all of the mamas and followers that I have not been more on top of this. Enjoy ;D

Eliana and I were so excited to finally get our day with the onesie! We picked December 6th, as the day for our onesie adventure. Eli decided to sleep in, so the day started a little on the late side, but this Mama is definitely not complaining. We began our day with some breakfast. Eliana had strawberries, bananas and pancakes.

onesie1

She enjoyed her breakfast so much that she decided her doggies, Loco and Peanut, would like to try some too.

Then it was time to get changed into the onesie and get this day rolling…

onesie4

TAA DAAAA!! The onesie fit like a glove!!

onesie5

No one can keep an 11 month old in one spot for too long. She sped off as fast as possible to play with her toys.

onesie6

Singing is one of her favorite things to do, so she sang and played while Mommy and Daddy finished getting ready to head out.

Since Christmas is only a few weeks away, we decided that it would be a perfect day to visit Boiling Spring Tree Farm to chop down Eliana’s very first Christmas tree. When we arrived there were Christmas trees as far as the eyes could see. It was so beautiful and the air smelled piney and delicious! We walked around for a little while trying to find the perfect tree.

Finally, we found the perfect one!! Daddy cut down the tree while Eliana supervised.

onesie10

She was impressed.

onesie11

After Daddy cut the tree the workers came over with the tractor and hauled it over to our car. We stopped in the shop to pay the nice man for our beautiful new Christmas tree and then it was time to strap it on top of the car and head back home.

onesie13

When we got home and put the tree up it was a perfect fit. How exciting!

onesie14

Our day was not over yet. This weekend is Christmas Prelude here in Maine, so there is no better place to visit then Kennebunkport (Voted #2 Christmas Town in America by HGTV). The tree lighting was at 6:30, so we quickly ate some homemade turkey soup and left for Kennebunkport.

Our first stop was at Cafe Couture, to visit our friend Kristen and grab a cup of cocoa.

onesie15

After some of the most delicious hot chocolate ever, we took a walk down the road to check out the tree.

onesie16

It was HUGE!! Decorated with colorful buoys and topped with a big red lobster in place of a star. A tree any Mainah would be proud of…

We all had a lot of fun, but it was getting late and beginning to rain, so it’s time to get home.

onesie19

Once home, we got ready to decorate the tree. Eliana watched Rudolf the Red-nose Reindeer while Mommy made a little food for everyone.

onesie21

onesie22

After filling our bellies it was almost time for bed, so we all changed into some jammies and it also seemed like the perfect time to put Eliana’s handprint on the onesie.

onesie23

The box of decorations was very tempting and the little monster couldn’t keep her hands off of them. I’m sure she was just trying to help.

onesie25

After today’s adventure it didn’t take long before Eliana was out like a light!

onesie26

It was much easier to decorate the tree without an 11 month old trying to grab everything. Soon it was all decorated and I got to sit back, and relax by the light of our tree.

Eliana and I truly enjoyed being a part of such a special adventure. We can’t wait to see what the onesie will be up to next. Time to pack it up and send it off to Dawn and Delilah in Ontario!!

A Day in the Life of Kaiden!

So our “onesie day” was supposed to be on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving morning, my moms beloved bird of 10 years passed away unexpectedly. So I was a little out of sorts for the rest of the day & didn’t feel it to be appropriate to do it that day so we planned it for Black Friday instead bc my hubby had that day off as well so we planned a family day!

That morning, we woke up and had some breakfast. THEN we put the onesie on and had some fun playing in our play room!

Like my work bench goggles?

3

After some play time, we decided to go get our Christmas Tree! Here I am in then car on the way! Last year when we did this I was too little to enjoy it.

4

I made sure to wear my lumberjack hat.

Soon after arriving, we found the most perfect tree:

5

Now it was time to buy an ornament (we plan to do this every year the day we get our tree) and go get some lunch in our tummy!

6

We decided to go for some hibachi grill food. Kaiden loved the fire! His face says it all!

7

8

After lunch, we decided to go home and decorate (after a nap!) First, some photos of the “brothers” of course!

9

10

Now it’s time to bust open the attic and get our decorations out!

Helping Mommy put ornaments on

14

Look how big my foot has grown in one year!

15

So after all the fun we had we decided it was time for some dinner. (We decided to take the onesie off so as to not COMPLETELY destroy because it was pasta & sauce night!!) After dinner we had some play time and snuggle time in the den and then one more photo-op before bedtime… As you can see, someone was definitely ready for bed

UPDATE: This next piece was accidentally left out of Kristen’s original story. I’m sorry about that!

We had a blast with the onesie and are so happy to be included in the project. I can’t wait until he is old enough to read the blog and see what he was a part of. Thank you ladies and I hope you all have as much fun as we did!
Love Kaiden, Kristen and Tim Caban

Kristen also included a video but I am having some trouble uploading it. If I can get it to work then I will update this post!
